چکیده
Abstract Introduction Minimally invasive adrenalectomy has become the standard of care internationally in benign adrenal disease. Intra-operative conversion to open surgery is associated with significantly increased morbidity and prolonged hospital stay. The aim this systematic review identify risk factors intra-operative minimally adrenalectomy. Method This was conducted according MOOSE guidelines. PubMed, EMBASE Cochrane library were systematically searched for observational studies evaluating surgery. Specific interest included patient demographics, co-morbidities, tumour characteristics histology. Result Eight met inclusion criteria analysis a total 2939 patients. 6.02% (n=177) required conversion. 67.5% (n=1983) underwent laparoscopic transperitoneal There no significant associations between any demographics or co-morbidities Tumour such as right sided tumours (pooled odds ratio (OR), 1.51; 95% Confidence Interval (CI), 0.98-2.32; p=0.06) increasing size (OR, 2.29; CI, 1.4-3.74; p=0.001) shown be an Pheochromocytoma 2.21; 1.89-2.58; p<0.0001) malignancy 5.38; 2.1-13.81; p=0.005) also predictors Conclusion reduced post-operative patients requiring but need remains significant.
